Continental Tires Phase 1, Hefei (2008-2011)

The German Continental AG, one of the largest listed tire manufacturers, built their first production facility in Hefei, China. Phase 1 of the facility has been set up as car tire production with a total area of 80,000 m² GFA. Future phases 2 and 3 follow after the completion of phase 1, covering a total plant area of around 250,000 m² GFA.

The design stages, including approvals, lasted 8 months and were completed in February 2009. The construction started in January 2010 and was completed within 15 months. This specific production facility is highly sophisticated containing complex M&E systems as well as technically advanced equipment layout.

Bencer provided the entire Project Management service including utility and production equipment management. Besides, Bencer also provided Energy Efficiency Consulting, Value Engineering and Interior Conceptual Design.
