BMA, Kunming (2010-2011)

The German listed Braunschweigische Maschinenbauanstalt AG (BMA) built a new factory in Kunming, Yunnan Province. This project is one of the few Built-Operate-Transfer (BOT) models in China. BMA engaged a professional developer who financed, built to suit, operated and finally transferred the project after a defined period of time. By implementing such an investment model in China, Bencer is one of the few consultants in China which is able to provide BOT consulting services in China.

The project was done in 2 phases each measuring around 8,000 m². The beginning of construction was in June 2010; project completion was in February 2011.

Bencer developed the BOT model for BMA and conducted the tender process for the BOT Developer. In addition, Bencer provided the Project Management services.
