Under the umbrella of the German Government, the DENA (German Energy Agency) and Fresenius AG sponsor the new construction of one of in total 8 schools in Sichuan, China. The Sichuan region was severely damaged during the earthquake in 2008, so the school facilities are needed to be rebuilt. The German Government sponsors 8 schools which will be completed in 2009 and 2010 in cooperation with the German companies.
The new school building, co-sponsored by DENA and Fresenius AG, will be designed and built as an energy efficient building show case, which will play an important role for future development of energy efficient buildings in China. The basis for the energy efficient design will be the EnEV (German Energy Saving Design Code).
The design of the 5.000mē school building will be completed in July 2010; the construction will be completed in May 2010.
