The German Chamber of Commerce in China and the Kunshan German Industrial Park cooperate together to build the first low energy production building in China. The concept of this production building is to provide production facilities for German companies which are building business in China.
The production building will meet the highest energy and quality standards regarding building materials and workmanship. Renewable energies such as geothermal energy and solar energy will be used to lower the energy consumption of the building. The high-end facade and insulation materials will ensure the optimal building insulation and therefore reduce energy leakage. The GIP production facility will be in many ways a benchmark for other ambitious industrial projects.
The GFA will be 6.200 mē. Rentable production space will be 4.500 mē. The design has started in October 2009. Construction completion will be in August 2010. Bencer provides the project management services and engineering consultancy.
