Continental AG, one of the largest tyre manufacturers, is building their first tyre production facility in Hefei, China. Phase 1 of the construction has been set up as car and bicycle tyre production with an overall area of 80.000 mē GFA. Shortly after Phase 1 completion it is planned to commence Phase 2 and 3, covering a total area of 250.000 mē GFA.
The design stages, including approvals, lasted 8 months and were completed in February 2009. The construction has started in January 2010 and is estimated to be completed within 15 months.
This specific production facility is highly sophisticated due to its complex M&E systems as well as its technically advanced equipment layout. Bencer provides the entire project management services including utility and production equipment management.
